The short answer is fear of rejection and a lack of self-assurance.

If you’ve ever been rejected, you know it can be a huge blow to your ego and really “take the wind out of your sails”.

So let’s look at 7 tips to make the pick up a little easier, eh?

Tip #1:

Be friendly and socialize. That right there can make picking up girls much easier – reframe your mission as just being friendly instead of “trying to get her”.

That takes the pressure off of you, and her, and your more relaxed approach will make you more successful.

Tip #2:

Don’t drink too much alcohol – sure, a little liquid courage might make you feel better, but if you’re slurry and blurry she’s not going to find Mr. Drunk-Off-His-Ass very appealing.

Tip #3:

Be flirty/playful.

Women love to have fun and a little playful flirty banter will go a long way.

Phrase your answer in the form of a question (like the Jeopardy show) and that’s more fun for her:

“Who’s more attractive? This actor or that actor?”

That’ll get her talking and you’ll be able to ask why that actor is so sexy to her.

Tip #4:

Just say “hi, my name is…” and then say your name. When we were little kids we did that easily.

Why not now?

Just walk over and introduce yourself. If she’s a bitch, that’s her problem, not yours (and the problem of anyone stupid enough to date her.

On the other hand, you could just ignore her bitchiness altogether and just go right on being friendly and flirty.

Tip #5:

Just have fun: see tip #1 – concentrate on the fun in what you’re doing and picking up a girl is easier than you think. Girls just love to have fun!

Tip #6:

Avoid depressing body language. Hunched shoulders, staring at the floor, frowning… all not good for picking up girls.

Keep the body language upbeat.

Tip #7:

Act self-assured and confident. Don’t be cocky or arrogant, just confident.

Girls are highly attracted to a confident guy.
