Men have been approaching women since the days of Fred and Barney (Flinstones = best cartoon ever, but I digress). But it was much easier then – all you needed to do was club her over the head and drag her to your cave. Ahh, the good ol’ days.

It’s not so easy these days. Beautiful women (even cute ones) have been approached so many times that they have constructed an almost impenetrable outer shell to deflect even the best pickup lines. They’ve heard it all and seen it all. And good guys like you and me, guys that would make great boyfriends and husbands, aren’t even given the chance to apply for the job. Unless you know how.

So how do you get past these defenses? How does a good guy get the chance to meet a gorgeous woman and show here that he can be the man of her dreams?

1. Confidence. Women are drawn to confident men like Britney Spears is drawn to bad relationships. They can’t help it, it is in their genes. Why do you think women are drawn to “bad boys”? Because these jokers are romantic and good providers? NO! Because bad boys are confident by nature. They have that “I don’t give a shit” attitude that women perceive as confidence. Now I’m not saying that you should become a bad boy, that’s a horrible way to live, in my opinion. I just want you to notice the effect of this attitude on women.

Confidence is the key to breaking through the jaded outer shell. It triggers something in her subconscious that opens the door and lets her know that you are a provider and protector. You are husband material. And all of this happens without her even knowing it. Her curiosity is automatically aroused.

2. Say something. Anything. This is a no brainer, but most guys don’t even do it. They formulate some elaborate fantasy as to why he shouldn’t approach. She’s in a relationship, she’s in a hurry, she’s too busy, she seems stuck up, she might have a psychotic ex-boyfriend that will pound me into the ground…… and on and on. Is any of it true? 3. Live an interesting life. All the pickup lines and all routines in the world will have no effect unless there is substance behind the words. Women are attracted to interesting and passionate men. Do you love what you do? Do you like to travel? What are your hobbies? When you talk about yourself, your passion will show, and to a woman, there is nothing more attractive than that.

How to Approach Women in Bars – The Simple Guide

As an illustration, I am going to use women drinking in a bar to illustrate this. Though I am still going to talk about other aspect which involves picking a woman in a way that is not connected to the bar, but as for now I am going to talk about this.

I guess you already know that women don’t visit the bar in one rather they chose to go in groups. Guys can get demoralized when it comes to approaching women that are in groups. If you are unaware of the best way to go about these you could be insulted in a way you would feel you didn’t even come to that place at all. I have been opportune to see men that were overlooked and some were even spitted on with drinks on their face or shirt in bars.

When you approach them the correct way you are going to always have your way in the midst of group of women, which in turn will mean you are going to get the person you want.

Now, let’s talk about meeting a woman in a mall.

Step 1: take a few steps round the mall and if your eyes jams a woman’s own, give her a smile once in awhile but don’t overdo it. If you are lucky you may get back a smile. You can begin this by trying it with a shop attendant. They will smile back at you even when they are not in the mood to smile. Nice start up! You never know, you could make a woman’s day by doing this and in return you might get her number.

Step 2: Now that you have got some ample of courage by withstanding and passing normal eye to eye contact and making a smile with an employee, it’s time to see how its going to work with a woman you admire in the mall. Don’t make weird smile, just make it nice and jovial.

Step 3: it may get a bit strange, but it does work and steady trial will make it quiet easy for you. Simply tell a woman “hi” together with a smile in the process of moving around in a mall. Initially, it may seem horrific if you don’t have enough courage, maybe 2 or 3 hours later, you will regain your confidence.

When you are through with trying this to about 30 to 50 women with a smile to supplement it you are going to feel as if it’s nothing anymore. Don’t even think of halting if you get a harsh reply, it does happen so it’s nothing.

Some of my pals have been lucky to hook up with the women of their dream using this “hi and smile at girls in the mall” technique.

Consider the guide “guy gets girl”, there are many ideas you can apply in it to strengthen your confidence with women, some are not even weird compared to the mall step.

Let me presume that at this extent you have got some lever or should I say the guts to approach females you haven’t seen before in a bar.

Let me take 2 women drinking in a bar as an example. One of them is cute and the other is not attractive. Maybe the one that is cute is the person you are in need of. Approach them and say a word to them immediately. In a space of 2 to 4 minutes after your eyes have caught hers go up to them immediately. Some guys refer to this as the 3 seconds technique and I admit that it does function. When you notice the cute one and you need her. It is in your own best interest not to begin reflecting a lot about how you are going to approach her or you could end up figuring out an idea which might make the approach not to work. Bear in mind to walk up to a woman from her side and not behind her.

In other words, confidence is being sure about who you are; confidence is being sure about something you can do.

That’s it! That’s all confidence really is. Confidence is a sense of certainty about who you are or something that you can do.

That also means that if you have low levels of confidence it’s because you have a lack of certainty about who you are or something you can do. It’s a lack of being sure about some aspect of your identity or capability.

That brings us to an important distinction:

What’s the difference between confidence and self-esteem?

Is confidence different than self esteem? Are they the same thing? Are they related to each other in some way? Do they affect each other?

Many people confuse confidence and self-esteem.

They use those terms interchangeably and they think they mean the same thing. But they are not the same thing and it’s important for you to understand the difference.

And it’s important that you know how they’re related and how they affect each other.

The dictionary defines self-esteem as “a favorable impression of oneself”.

That means self-esteem is how you feel about yourself. Self-esteem is a measure of how much you like yourself at any given point in time.

Confidence is a feeling of certainty about your identity or capability.

Confidence is a feeling of being sure.

On the other hand, self-esteem is how you feel about yourself and like yourself. Self-esteem is an evaluation you make about how much you like yourself right now.

Bottom line: Confidence is a matter of being sure of yourself and self-esteem is a matter of liking yourself.

One of the many examples of cash-vultures who will try to perform a “total cash-ectomy” (removal of all your cash!) on you is the “seduction technology” people.

They’ll try to make you believe that you can hypnotize or otherwise seduce women with slick scripts and manipulation.

Here’s what they don’t tell you: you will have to spend a lot of time and a lot of money to learn all these tricks that may or may not work.

What’s worse is even after spending all that money and learning scripts, tricks, psychology, and how to win the dating game; you still don’t have any real or wasting confidence! you’re still the same shy guy on the inside, but with a whole lot more “tricks” and a whole lot less cash.

All of those things are just gimmicks and they all feed off the misguided idea guys have that they need some kind of trick or crutch to “get women.”

Reality: None of those things work as well as pure confidence.

While other guys have wasted their time and money on tricks and gimmicks, you can be out there with a time-tested and proven love potion: super confidence with women.

It’s not scripts, tricks, and gimmicks that will make women feel good around you.

It’s not tricks and gimmicks that make women feel protected and comfortable – which you must make them feel or they will want to run away from you!

The only thing that does that is pure confidence.

(Just as a side note, if your Mom or your sister found out you were using those kinds of tricks and gimmicks on women, do you think they’d approve? No way! They’d say that’s sleazy and slimy! But do you think they’d approve if they found out you were doing something to increase your confidence? You bet they’d approve!)

Unfortunately, when it comes to having more confidence, most guys over-complicate the situation. They bark up the wrong tree.

But, “confidence crutches”, tricks, and gimmicks are not the answer.

When you have super confidence with women, that cuts through all of that other BS. Super confidence with women cuts through all the tricks and gimmicks.

That’s all you really need to have the kind of success with women you’ve been dreaming of.

If you don’t have confidence, you’re going to be missing out.

you’ll be missing out on all the great things women and relationships have to offer.

You’ll be missing out on all the good feelings, all the sex, all the affection.

Fear is a double-edged sword – it cuts both ways…

That means that if you are feeling fear, when you approach a woman she’s going to sense that fear and it’s going to make her uncomfortable and want to get away from you.

Here’s the bottom line: women want to feel safe and secure around a man. No woman wants to be around a man that doesn’t make her feel safe and secure and protected.

When you’re approaching a woman and feeling confident, you make her feel safe and secure and protected.

She can feel your confidence, and it’s very, very attractive to her.

There’s no doubt about it. It doesn’t matter what other opinions people have about this. People can argue until they’re blue in the face about what women want or don’t want.

But meanwhile, back here in reality, when you’re with a woman and you have super-high levels of  confidence, she can feel it, and she likes it.

She likes it a lot.

Just ask women what they want in a man, and confidence makes it to every woman’s list.

Women will choose a confident man even over better looking, wealthier guys.

Women will choose a confident man who’s not even “her type”. She will choose YOU if you’re confident and you’re not even “her type”!

There’s simply no doubt about it: confidence is very attractive to women.

When you exude confidence, that’s very attractive to her, and can override and supersede all kinds of criteria she has in her mind about what “Mr. Right” should be like.

Here’s a quick and easy way to show why confidence is so important:

Imagine that I’m coming over to pick you up in my car to take you out to lunch. You get into the passenger seat and put your safety belt on.

As you do, you notice that my hands are shaking as I put the key into the ignition. I look at the steering wheel as if I’ve never seen one before in my entire
life. My face is white and has a look of panic on it. I look into the rear view mirror and let out a little yelp of fear.

You can see my whole body is starting to shake and I’m starting to sweat. I almost hit another car as I try to pull into traffic – the other driver honks his horn and shows me an angry middle finger.

At this point you want to get out of the car, don’t you?!

Do you want to be involved in a traffic accident and possibly get hurt or even killed because I lack confidence in my ability to drive a car? My nervousness and lack of confidence has made you feel uncomfortable, hasn’t it? In fact, my lack of confidence made you want to get away to somewhere safer, right?

It’s exactly the same with women. When you are nervous and shy, they pick up on that. They can feel it. They can sense it. She can feel that you’re not  comfortable and it makes her feel uncomfortable too.

When she feels uncomfortable, she wants to get away to somewhere safer. On the other hand, if you’re exuding super confidence, then she feels safe and secure. She feels comfortable and protected around you. She feels no need to try to get away from you.

Most guys will “try to be less nervous” but that never works. What you need to do is make your target confidence – you want be more of what you want to be, not less of what you don’t want to be.

No matter how you slice it, no matter how you look at it, no matter how you think about it or talk about it, women find a confident man attractive.

Confidence is almost like a love potion to women.

Ask just about any woman what they want in a man and confidence with be one of the first things they say. Confidence will be on their list.

It’s usually in the top five.

Why is that? Why is confidence so important to women? Why do ladies find a confident man so attractive?

Here’s an example I’m sure you can relate to:

Most guys can remember a time when they knew a lady who had two guys after her. One guy was the “good guy” and the other was the “bad guy”.

The good guy was nice to her. The bad guy, well, wasn’t so nice.

The good guy would take her out on nice dates to dinner and movies and buy her nice gifts.

The good guy would treat her well and be nice to her. But the good guy never got the good stuff he really wanted. He never got her love or affection. No kissing, no touching, and certainly no sex.

Meanwhile, the bad guy was getting all the good stuff from her that the good guy wanted but wasn’t getting.

The bad guy wasn’t taking her out on dates or buying her nice things. In fact, the bad guy seemed to treat her badly. He even disrespected
her.

But, the bad guy was getting all her attention. The bad guy was getting affection, kissing, touching. And yes, thebad guy was getting all the sex, too.

But the good guy was good for her. He treated her well. The bad guy treated her like dirt.

So why did she seem to prefer the bad guy?

Now, some people say it’s because women want to be treated like dirt. Or they say that the bad guy is more exciting than the predictable, boring good guy.

The deeper reason has nothing to do with whether women want to be treated poorly or not; and the deeper reason has nothing to do with whether women want excitement in their lives or not.

The deeper reason has to do with confidence. It’s simple: the bad guy exuded the confidence the good guy didn’t. That’s why he “got the girl” and not the good guy.

Reality: Confidence makes a woman feel good. When you have confidence, a woman feels good around you.

She feels safe and protected. She feels secure.

Have you ever played the part of the good guy sometime in your life?

Many of us shy guys have. So, some people say the simple answer is to just treat girls like dirt. But the fact is that if you do, the only girl who you’ll end up with is girls with low self-esteem.

And you’ll get tired of that pretty quick.

Women with low self-esteem will become a pain in the neck. they’ll be clingy and needy. You may think that sounds good – having someone cling all over you – but pretty soon you’ll feel suffocated.

You’ll feel smothered. you’ll want out. That’s just not a good solution.

And it’s really funny what we guys do inside our heads when we want to approach women. It’s amazing how many creative ways guys figure out ways to NOT approach women!

We guys are really great at imagining all kinds of terrible and horrible results if you dare to walk up to a woman and open up your mouth and say “hi”.

Some guys imagine – and remember that this is all in their head – that if they walk across the room to approach a woman that the whole place gets quiet and everyone stops talking and is only listening to hear what will happen; they open their mouth and out comes some shaky and feeble attempt at speaking, and she just laughs in their face.

Humiliated, they imagine creeping away while everyone in the whole place just laughs and points at them – pretty creative, isn’t it?

Other guys imagine she’s like a giant and they’re a small ant compared to her.

Or they imagine that she’ll slap them, or toss a drink right into their face.

Or they imagine she’ll pull out a gun and start shooting or call the police.

Obviously, if a woman is truly mentally unstable, she might act weird when you approach her.

But unless you work in a mental institution, most of the women you could approach out there will probably not be mentally deranged.

So all those horrible things you and other guys imagine won’t actually come true.

Naturally, it’s impossible to know what kind of mood a woman is in when you approach her.

You may not get a great reaction if she’s in a bad mood, but that’s just true of anyone, right?

She might’ve just had a bad day and she just doesn’t feel open to a stranger trying to be friendly right now. You can’t know what kind of mood a woman might be in when you approach her.

It’s also true that some situations just don’t lend themselves to favorable results.

For example, I never recommend trying to meet women at bars and nightclubs. Some guys love to approach women in bars and nightclubs, but that’s not my favorite place to meet and approach women.

In bars and nightclubs, you don’t stand a very good chance because women tend to have their guard up and their defenses are on red alert in those places.

Women know that bars and nightclubs are seen by most guys as “meet markets” and pick-up spots.

When they see you coming they go on double red alert. On the other hand, in places like bookstores, seminars, coffee shops, libraries, stores, and malls, women don’t usually have their guard and defenses up exactly because they don’t see those places as “meet markets”.

Red alert status is not usually necessary in those places and you will likely have much, much better success with approaching women.

So most guys figure that they need some kind of “script” of what to say.

A script of what to say when they approach a beautiful woman and meet her for the first time.

A script for what to say after that. In fact, one of the most common misconceptions that guys have is that there are some “magic words” to get beautiful women to not reject you outright.

That’s total BS! There are no magic words.  There is no special script to get women to like you.

Forget about scripts of what to say to beautiful women. The only reason you think you need a script is because you’re nervous and shy and that makes your brain freak out and your mind goes blank.

You think a script will save you somehow. But it won’t. It just won’t. What if you
memorize some script and it doesn’t work? Or what if you forget your script?

You’ll have a panic attack because you won’t know what to do or say next.

Plus, if you’re following a script, then you’re stuck with it. You run the risk of coming across as phony and rehearsed.

She’ll pick up on that. It will turn her off instantly.

Here’s the true bottom line on why guys think they need scripts:

If you see a woman you want to meet and you have no confidence in yourself, then you have all kinds of questions and doubts in your mind that make you hesitate.

You question all kinds of things. You wonder if she’s out of your league,

You figure that someone as beautiful as she is probably already has a boyfriend.

You worry that even if you do muster up the courage to approach her that you won’t know what to say after “hello”.

On the other hand, if you have confidence, you don’t ask yourself all those questions.

You go right up to her and talk to her, even if she’s the most beautiful women you could imagine wanting to approach.

The bottom line is this:

You must set your goal to be confidence around beautiful women or you will simply fail miserably and your ego will be destroyed.

Wondering about what to say to beautiful women is just your fear, plain and simple.

If you think you need a script, that’s just a crutch. If you think you need a script, it means you’re afraid there will be an uncomfortable silence.

Scripts are just a crutch and a cover for a lack of confidence, just like a child’s security blanket.

You do not need a security blanket, you need confidence around even the most beautiful women. Period.

Tip #1:

Stop and think about how she’s going to see you – yep, first impressions really do matter.

You’re probably already convinced you look great – and maybe you do – but it’s more likely that your image needs a little polish.

We’re not talking a huge makeover here; just pay more attention to your hair, clothes, and fingernails.

This tip is easy to skip – ignore it at your own peril.

Tip #2:

How are you going to start talking?

You need some fail-safe approaches – fail safe means if you fail, you’re safe. You don’t want to crash and burn and have your ego completely trashed.

So you should always always always start out safe.

If you walk up to women and ask for their phone number, you’re most likely going to be rejected – you’re just some stranger to her.

Sure, there are exceptions, if you have movie-star-good-looks or something, but then why would you be reading this if you did?

So, safe talking means where you’re not at risk. Ask safe, context-specific questions of a girl you want to approach:

Examples:

Coffee shop: “I was thinking of trying a new coffee drink – have you tried the mocha espresso grande decaf peppermint chai latte here?”

Supermarket: “Have you ever tried any of the organic produce at this market?”

On the street: “Excuse me, can you tell me what time it is?”

Safe, safe, safe. No need to worry about being rejected.

Tip #3:

Up the ante if she’s friendly.

That means, after your safe talk approach, if she seems like a total bitch, forget about her.

Who wants to date a miserable excuse for a human being who can’t even be the slightest bit social without being mean? Forget her and move on.

But if she is friendly, turn things up a bit.

Ask her out.

Go on, what’s the worst that could happen? — no, not that.

Just “no”.

Take the chance, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hey, she may say “yes” and believe me, you’ll be elated!

You could say something like “I have to admit I already know what time it is, I just would have kicked myself later if I didn’t take a chance to meet you”.

Maybe that’s a little cheesy, but girls sometimes like cheesy.

Tip #4:

Act confident even if you don’t feel confident.

Not cocky, not arrogant, not conceited – confident.

The reality is that every man should have the ability and skill to be able to approach any woman he wants.
